Brown Ballerinas First Steps is a story about Trinity’s first  experience in a ballet class. At the age of four, she learned the beginning steps it takes to create a Princess Ballerina. Trinity was nervous and excited as she entered into a space she once dreamed about.

Ballet barre’s, mirrors, dance floors, and little girls that look like her, help Trinity to feel safe and nurtured in a new studio environment. Once she got past, “I can’t do it,” her teacher, Ms. Paula, found her to be the best in the class!

Join Trinity and her new friends as they learn the beginning steps to becoming a Brown Ballerina.

OUR MISSION:

CULTIVATING BROWN BALLERINAS

Paula Brown, Performing Arts Center, has proudly put dancers on the path to excellence since 2014. Our classes and special programs nurture, inspire and motivate young dancers to find their own unique artistry and self-expression through movement.

Our mission is to uplift girls of color by addressing inadequate access to classical ballet training in minority communities  We empower student-artists and shatter ballet stereotypes through ballet.
